CINDERELLA
CHAIR
Design by Marine Peyre
Cinderella is, first and foremost, a fairy tale:
The story of a princess who loses a delicate slipper and a charming prince who finds it. They got married and had many children...
Today, Cinderella is reinventing herself.
The fairy tale becomes an object; the slipper becomes a chair base.
Cinderella is a removable base made of HoneyComb paper, designed specifically for 1950s school chairs. Simply by adding it, the chair is transformed, metamorphosed, and takes on a new character and era.
The base comes in three models, serving as a graphic and stylized tribute to three major figures in design:
the Louis XIV leg, the Art Nouveau leg, and the 1970s leg.
Materials: Vintage school chair. Honeycomb paper. Elastic bands. Satin ribbons. Velvet ribbons.
