The mechanical movement—fluid and almost imperceptible—transforms the diffusion of light through Procédés Chenel’s Honey Comb paper, creating a play of shadows through the paper’s honeycomb-shaped openings.\u0026nbsp;\u003cbr\/\u003eWith a soothing plum color on the outside, the piece opens to reveal a core of perforated white paper—the “perfo drop”—that glows in time with the breath.\u0026nbsp;\u003cbr\/\u003e“Respire” embodies the mechanism of breathing through its cycles of expansion and contraction.  \u003cbr\/\u003e Breathing humanizes the technical object and creates an immediate connection with the viewer.
